Class Expectations In our class we will choose to... 1. Always be kind. 2. Try our personal best and believe in ourselves. 3. Respect our classmates, teachers, classroom, and ourselves. 4. Keep our hands and feet to ourselves. 5. Participate in our own learning.
Consequences Hierarchy 1. Verbal reminder. The teacher will remind the student of the expected behavior. 2. Yellow Card. The student will be given a yellow slow down card. The student will think about their choices and make a better choice. The teacher will remind the student of what will happen if the negative behavior continues to occur. 3. Think about it sheet. The teacher will remind the student of the expected behavior and why that behavior is important. The student will reflect on the problem and what he or she can do differently in the future by completing a think about it sheet in the cool down corner. 4. A note will be sent home. 5. Principal referral. ***If a student severely disrupts the class or causes harm to himself/herself or others, all the steps are skipped and the student is sent to the principal's office.
